How do the rentals work?

We offer you unlimited rental time and unlimited swaps, ensuring that you'll always have an exciting game to dive into. There's no need to worry about countdown clocks or return deadlines — game on at your own pace!

The only limit? Well, that's the number of games you can have at one time. Head over to our library to get an idea of how many library points each game costs

How long can I keep the rentals for?

As long as you want! Whether it's for a week, two weeks, a month, or even six months, the choice is yours. We offer you the flexibility to keep your rentals for as long as you need. You can swap games whenever you are ready.

How do I exchange rental games?

You can exchange rental games at any time and as many times as you would like. Add games from our library into the online cart. Keep within the limits of your allowed library points and then choose your preferred swapping method in the shipping section of the cart.

What is PUDO?

PUDO is one of the cheapest shipping and exchange options that we offer. PUDO is a smart locker delivery system powered by The Courier Guy. They have over 1500 lockers all around South Africa. You receive a pin once the parcel is ready for collection at your preferred locker location. You will also receive a PIN to drop-off your return rentals.

Why do you charge a joining fee?

We understand that you might wonder why we charge a joining fee when you sign up for our membership, and we want to explain the reasons behind it.

  1. Maintaining Membership Integrity:

    One of the key reasons is to ensure the integrity of our membership community. By requiring a joining fee, we encourage individuals to commit to our club with genuine interest, discouraging those who might otherwise join and cancel impulsively.

  2. Protecting Our Library:

    Your joining fee also acts as a non-refundable deposit. It protects the library from those who just want to get up to shenanigans. This ensures that our diverse collection of games remains intact and available for all members to enjoy.

  3. Growing the library:

    Importantly, the joining fee helps us in our ongoing efforts to build and enhance our game library. It contributes to expanding our selection of games and resources, ultimately allowing us to offer more variety and keep membership fees as affordable as possible for everyone.

We value your membership and want to provide you with the best experience possible. The joining fee is an investment in maintaining the quality and sustainability of our gaming club.

What day of the month is the membership fee charged?

At the time of registration a pro-rata membership fee will be charged based on the number of days left in the current month.

Thereafter the full membership fee is charged on the 1st of every month.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership?

Upgrade your membership tier at anytime at no charge.

Downgrade your membership tier at anytime - an admin fee of R150 is charged every time you downgrade. Your account can only be downgraded once all rentals are returned and your library points balance. We also require one month notice.

How do I cancel the membership?

As a member, you have the freedom to cancel your membership at any time, and it's as easy as giving us just one month's notice. It's your journey, and we're here to make it as smooth as possible.

Just remember, to ensure a seamless cancellation process, we kindly request that all your games be returned in tip-top condition before we process your cancellation.

How do you check games after they are returned?

At Timeless Board Games, we employ a state-of-the-art, super-precise scale to meticulously weigh all game components both before and after each rental. We leave no stone unturned to ensure games are retuned with no missing or damaged pieces

We understand that accidents can happen, and we genuinely appreciate your honesty. If you happen to damage a game or lose a piece by mistake, we encourage you to inform us promptly. This way we can work on a fair solution for you and Timeless Board Games

What happens if components are lost or damaged while a game is in my possession?

It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that our library games are returned in tip-top shape. If any components are missing or damaged, the member is kindly asked to cover the cost of the replacements. In cases where components are irreplaceable the member will be held responsible for the replacement of the entire game.

While we genuinely hope to avoid such situations, our duty is to uphold our board game library's integrity, always guided by principles of fairness and transparency.

We understand that mistakes can and do happen, and we appreciate those who openly communicate. Your integrity is a pillar of our community, and together, we'll continue to foster a respectful and enjoyable gaming environment for everyone.

What are super deals?

Super deals are member-only deals that are deep discounted and are usually run in conjunction with our normal sales. Keep a look out for these on the Timeless website.

Timeless Board Games Club Membership Terms and Conditions

  1. Membership Fee:

    a. You understand that there is a non-refundable one-time joining fee associated with your membership. The amount of this fee is clearly stated on the membership payment page before you complete your registration.

    b. In addition to the one-time joining fee, a monthly membership fee is applicable. The monthly fee is also clearly specified on the membership payment page.

    c. A pro-rata membership fee will be charged based on the number of days left in the current month at the time of registration. The amount of this fee is clearly stated on the membership payment page before you complete your registration.

    d. The monthly membership fee will be automatically charged to your card on the 1st day of every month, starting from the month following your registration.

  2. Changes to fees:

    a. Timeless Board Games can, at our discretion, modify membership fees.

    b. In the event that we find it necessary to make adjustments to our fees, we will ensure that you are notified well in advance via email

  3. Monthly Payment Failure and Credit Card Expiry:

    1. Immediate Notification: We will notify the member immediately via the contact information provided in their account, which may include email and/or phone contact. The notification will specify the reason for the payment failure, whether it is due to insufficient funds, an expired credit card, or any other payment-related issue.

    2. Resolution Period: The member will be given 14 days from the date of the initial notification to resolve the payment issue.

    3. Payment Update: During the resolution period, the member is encouraged to update their payment information by providing a valid and active credit card. They can also contact our customer support team for assistance in updating their payment information.

    4. Service Continuation: If the member successfully updates their payment information within the resolution period, their subscription or membership will continue without interruption.

    5. Account Suspension: If the member does not update their payment information within the specified resolution period, their account or subscription may be temporarily suspended. During this suspension, access to our services or products may be restricted.

    6. Termination: If the payment issue is not resolved within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to terminate the member's account or subscription. The member will be notified of this action before it takes place.

    7. Legal action: In cases where a member refuses to pay for the unreturned or damaged board games, we may take legal action to recover the incurred costs, including but not limited to filing a civil lawsuit or pursuing other available legal remedies.

    It is the member's responsibility to ensure that their payment information is accurate and up to date. We recommend keeping their credit card information current to avoid any disruption in their membership or subscription.

  4. Membership renewal:

    a. Your membership with Timeless Board Games will automatically renew on a monthly basis unless you choose to cancel it.

  5. Cancellation and rejoining:

    a. Members may cancel their club membership at any time with a one-month notice. Cancellation requests will only be processed once all rented games are returned to Timeless Board Games in good condition.

    b. Timeless Board Games can, at our discretion, cancel a member's membership or refuse any member sign-up.

    c. If you have previously been a member of the Timeless club and have canceled your membership, please note that should you decide to rejoin in the future, you will be required to pay the one-time joining fee again. This policy applies regardless of the duration of your previous membership or the reason for cancellation.

  6. Payment Authorization:

    a. By providing your payment information during the registration process, you authorize Timeless Board Games to charge your card for both the one-time joining fee, the pro-rata membership fee, and the monthly membership fee as described above.

  7. Membership Discount:

    a. The member discount applies to products only

    b. The membership discount does not stack with other discounts. The highest discount will apply

    c. Member Super Deals: these are clearly designated and can be easily located in the dedicated "Member Super Deals" section of our website.

    d. Timeless Board Games is not obliged to continually offer super deals. These exclusive opportunities are extended whenever possible, and their availability is contingent upon factors such as stock availability and supplier agreements.

  8. Ownership of rental games:

    a. All games rented through the club membership remain the property of Timeless Board Games.

  9. Rental returns:

    a. All game components will be weighed before rental and after return to ensure that the game is returned complete. The rental returns are also checked in detail for any damaged pieces. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that all components are intact when returning the game.

  10. Assessment of Missing or Damaged Pieces:

    a. All games will be checked and weighed in detail before we send the games to a member. The weights will be noted and a copy sent with the games to the customer.

    b. Games must be returned in good condition, free from excessive wear and tear, damage, or missing components.

    c. Rental games that have been damaged or pieces lost will under no circumstances be sold to the customer.

    d. The cost of replacing the pieces/game will be charged to the member's credit card.

    e. We understand that accidents can happen, and we genuinely appreciate your honesty. If you happen to damage a game or lose a piece by mistake, we encourage you to inform us promptly. This way we can work on a fair solution for both the member and Timeless Board Games

    a. Duration of Rental: Members are entitled to retain rented games for an indefinite period provided their membership fees remain in current status.

    b. Game Exchange Policy: Members are granted the privilege of exchanging rental games as frequently as desired, provided their membership fees remain in good standing.

    c. Initiating an Exchange: The responsibility for initiating a game exchange lies with the member, and this can be conveniently facilitated through our online cart system.

  12. Exchanging Rental Games and Courier Costs:

    a. Shipping Responsibility: Members are responsible for covering the shipping cost associated with exchanging rental games, unless they qualify for a free exchange.

    b. Qualifying for Free Shipping: Free shipping eligibility is contingent upon order totals exceeding specified thresholds, as detailed in the online cart. These thresholds may be subject to adjustment over time in response to changes in courier service provider pricing.

    c. Warehouse Exchange: Members have the option to exchange their rental games at our JHB warehouse shop. However, members must initiate the swap through the online cart and allow Timeless Board Games one full working day for the preparation and weighing of new rental games before the exchange can take place.

  13. Rental Availability:

    a. Rental games may be booked out at any one time, and Timeless cannot guarantee the availability of rental games at a specific time.

  14. Privacy Policy:

    a. Our Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and protection of your personal information. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

  15. Disputes:

    a. Any disputes arising from the rental of our board games shall be resolved through negotiation and, if required, legal procedures in accordance with the applicable laws. By renting our board games, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our customer support for clarification before proceeding with the rental. Enjoy your gaming experience!

  16. Liability:

    a. Timeless Board Games is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use of rented games or membership services.

  17. Agreement Acceptance:

    By completing your registration and becoming a member, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these membership terms and conditions.

    a. Timeless Board Games reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions as needed. Any changes will be communicated to members via email or posted on our website. It is your responsibility to stay informed about any updates to these terms.

Detailed description of goods and/or services

Timeless Board Games is a business in the hobby industry that markets board games, board game rentals, and board gaming events.

Delivery policy

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 2 working days and delivery confirmed by way of a confirmation email.

All our parcel deliveries are done via third party courier companies and the post office. The method of delivery and associated cost are chosen by the user in the Timeless Board Games website cart. Unfortunately parcel delays do and will happen, however we follow-up with the respective service provider immediately.

Export restriction

The offerings on this website is available to South African clients only

Return and Refunds policy

The provision of goods and services by Timeless Board Games is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Timeless Board Games will refund the client in full within 30 days.

Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10 % administration fee.

Damaged goods must be reported within 5 working days upon delivery. Should a replacement not be in stock, Timeless Board Games will refund the client in full within 30 days subject to the damaged item being returned to Timeless Board Games.

Customer privacy policy

Timeless Board Games shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the Timeless Board Games bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

Credit card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Timeless Board Games via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by Timeless Board Games separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGates secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Responsibility

Timeless Board Games takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Country of domicile
